SIMTEN KILIC 2010-07-29	Sugar Palm Kata Resort, Kata Beach The hotel was more than we expected from a 3 star hotel. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and kind. As for location it was very convenient, if you want to reach the beach in 2 minutes. You can hire a motorbike from the hotel and visit every spot of the island. If you are someone like me who doesn t want to think about what to eat and search for a place for breakfast, the breakfast served in the hotel can satisfy you. Otherwise it is the same stuff every morning.	Sawasdee was the best choice, we got what we asked for. The transportation service, which is an exception from other travel and booking websites, was excellent with aircon and smooth music.
Irina Lomako 2010-07-18	Sugar Palm Kata Resort, Kata Beach We had an opportunity to check the quality of two hotels from Kata network - Sugar Palm Resort & Spa and Sugar Palm Grand Hillside. If you want to have a more relaxed & secluded vacation, you want to choose Grand Hillside: nice view, a fresher air due to elevated location yet rather specific Spartan interior. Also, it s rather hard to go uphill for children and elderly. The only bad thing about Sugar Palm Resort & Spa is a poor sound isolation. If someone decides to splash in pool during daytime, you ll hardly get your after-dinner nap. The breakfast is better than that in Hillside - soups are very good, two types every morning and never repeat throughout the week. The reason for this is the the breakfast is being done in Mali restaurant. We would recommend you Mali for dinners for their quality & pricing. Have a nice vacation!	Very efficient and ready to cater any request.
jennifer redden 2010-07-04	Sugar Palm Kata Resort, Kata Beach Nice small hotel and great value for money with the current low season discounts (July). My travelling buddies and I all loved the pool access room , straight from the balcony into the pool. Comfortable bed. Location is great for Kata, only 3 minutes walk to the beach. Only a handful of tv channels, but a DVD player in the room. Beach was a bit rough at this time of year (good if you like a bit of surfing though). Ate some really ordinary food at the nearby restaurant (not Sugar Palms Mali but the other one across the laneway). Good massage just outside the reception area. Good place to stay for a few nights before heading over to Phi Phi	really good service from Sawasdee this time, the customer service officer responded promptly to several of my emails asking further questions about additional bookings and hotel pickups - thanks
Michael Vast 2010-07-01	Sugar Palm Kata Resort, Kata Beach Stayed in the poolside access room and really enjoyed it. The only gripe with the pool is that it wasn t large or deep but that is a minor issue. The staff were very friendly and always smiled, and they even booked my accommodation at the Sugar Palm Karon Beach Resort via phone for me (Kata Beach and the Sugar Palm Kata Resort is nicer than Karon beach and the resort there). Very convenient for the beach, restaurants, banks. All in all good value, good staff and great location and would not hesitate to return.	The transfer from the airport to the resort that I booked through the sawadee website was a rip-off. Taxis at the airport were charging half what I paid.
Tim Söderström 2010-06-24	Sugar Palm Kata Resort, Kata Beach Tidigare har jag bott på det närliggande hotellet Sugar Palm Grand Hillside. Jämför man dessa hotell är skillnaden enorm. På detta hotell är rummen långt i från lika fräscha och moderna. Man betalar mycket mer för boendet. Vid frukostbuffén flyger det in fåglar och knaprar åt sig föda, utan att personalen vidtar några som helst åtgärder. Vissa grejer var dock täckta med lock, men mot bakgrund av de återkommande fåglarna, borde alla maträtter vara täckta med lock så att fåglarna inte ens kom åt slevarna som man tog maten med. Under vistelsen hade de gratis WiFi. Brukar kosta, men detta bjuder de kanske på under lågsäsongen? Bastun och hissen var trasig. Hissen lagades påföljande dag. Ångbastun var inte på under de tider den skulle vara på. Kommer ej tillbaka till detta hotell mer.

Whilst it is trying to promote itself as a place for chic couples to chill, independent families can still use it as a base close to the beach and Kata centre. If you are a family expecting a resort-style hotel with all sorts of child-friendly entertainments laid on, large pool and sitting area - don t come here.	Very good. Responsive and accurate.
Dianne Richards 2009-09-30	Sugar Palm Kata Resort & Spa, Kata Beach My husband and I with our 4 children and 5 grandchildren stayed here for 10 days in that time we found it was excellent when the airconditioner leaked and we rang for a maintence man honestly he was there with in 5 minutes we will stay again if ever we go to thailand again also at$34 a day per room you couldnt ask for better.The location was wonderful to shops,beach anything you wanted	The booking service was excellent very helpful
